Berková, Klára ; Soukupová, Tereza (advisor) ; Michálková, Lucie (referee)
My bachelor thesis is devoted to Profiles of Care Occupations in MMPI- 2. The thesis is devided into 2 parts -a theoretical and an empirical. The theoretical part explains the expressions such as "personality", "caring", "prosocial behaviour", "care occupations" and "volunteerism". I describe the personality of a care occupation mainly from the point of view of individual personal characteristics. The explanation of the characteristics is based on the researched facts. I operate with a questionnaire Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory 2 in the empirical part of thesis, I decided to include an introduction of this psychodiagnostical procedure and I focuse it on diagnosing those personal characteristics that are connected to care occupation personality. Empirical part of thesis is devoted to a research based on following questions: 1) Do psychologists, the representatives of care occupations, show this characteristics in a questionnaire MMPI-2 that are commonly connected to care occupations in general? 2) Do the psychologists differ from volunteers in their scores in MMPI-2 (in terms of comparing profiles of personal characteristics of those 2 named groups)? 5

From the open coding came the following categories: relationship with colleagues, relationship to patients, relationship to the institution and problems the student had to deal with during the practice. The main subject of the study was how is changing student's style of work with patients and her view on the role of helping profession during the first year of practice. Data analysis has shown a certain naivety of the early stage worker in the helping profession and the subsequent transition to a realistic view of the helping profession. The results are always described using this scale, naivety reality.
